Web app
You don’t have to download anything to use LiveChat. Simply go to the web chat application’s page, log in and start chatting.
The web chat app is available on all web browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and Opera. This application is also available for Linux users via their dedicated web browser.
Desktop app

Get one of our desktop apps for Windows or OS X (Mac) if you don’t want to use your web browser to chat with your customers.
Additionally, these desktop applications will run automatically when you start your computer, which means that you will also start receiving chats whenever you begin your workday.
Mobile apps
You are not tied to your desk when using LiveChat. You can use one of LiveChat’s mobile applications for iOS and Android to keep on chatting with customers while away from your desktop computer.

Mobile applications will run in the background, meaning that you don’t have to constantly check them out. Whenever there is a new message or a new chat, a push notification will let you know immediately.
I’ve been waiting for Google Hangouts / GChat to come out with a stand alone desktop app for Mac OS X for too long.
Today, I realized I already had the power to create one, and so can you.
Here’s the steps (mac only) …
- Go download and install Fluid
- Start it up
- Type in “https://plus.google.com/hangouts” for the URL and whatever you want for the Application NameUsing Fluid App to create Google Hangouts Stand alone Mac app
- Yay, you’ve created a Google Hangout stand alone desktop app for your macYay, you created a Google Hangout stand alone desktop app for your mac
- Open it up from your Applications list/folder, as you would a normal Mac applicationIn your Applications directory now is the Google Hangout app
- Here’s the first look of your shiny new app. As you can see, it just opens the URL. But wait, here’s the special part ….
- Click the quote icon in the upper right corner and your GChat conversation list appears.List of Hangout Chats
- Click on the “pop out” arrow on that window and it’ll open a new tab for the conversation.
- Ta da! Here’s your conversation, in full screen, in it’s own app.Here’s the opened chat window
